The Community and Didactic Garden
In our Erasmus community, where we gather people of different ages, cultures and backgrounds, one thing can bring all of us together, our Didactic Community Garden
About our Garden
The Community and Didactic Garden is a project open to everyone, based on the principles of permaculture and
regenerative agriculture. So far more than 400 local and international people visited the Didactic Garden and participated in related events.
The Garden is designed for educational purposes, raisingenvironmental awareness and well-being, exchanging knowledge and opening reflections on the connection with the earth.
The garden is the result of collaboration between the
New Wellness Education, the Municipality of Bergolo and the financial support of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo.
The precious contribution of the volunteers, who are the main maintainers, was possible thanks to the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programme. The harvest from the garden is used in various projects and events in Bergolo, actively promoting civic participation within the local community

Approaches & Practises in our Garden
All works in the garden are based on PERMACULTURE and REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE approach

During the projects and local events we organise in Bergolo, our Didactic Community Garden welcomes a lot of local and international visitors. Among them participants of Erasmus+ projects, ESC volunteers, trainees, and pupils from local schools.
Our garden flourishes throughout the year with a wide variety of seasonal vegetables, flowers and plants. Each part of the year brings a new burst of colour, flavour and growth, making the garden a living calendar of nature’s cycle.
